Alloudi a écrit:

FAR VS ANP+POLISARIO (Tome I) - Page 7 Icon_wink

iznassen a écrit:

Parfaitement dit la, FAR VS ANP+POLISARIO (Tome I) - Page 7 Icon_sal .

Yakuza a écrit:

samir1988 a écrit:

Conclusion Samir, source peut crédible.

samir1988 a écrit:

j´aimerai clarifier certaines choses:

http://vpk.name/news/50138_liviya_bez_pancirya.html

Nearly half of Russian air-to-air missiles with IAF have homing, ageing problems: CAG report
Thu Jul 16 2009, 03:03 hrs New Delhi:

Putting a big question mark on the performance of the Russian beyond visual range (BVR) air-to-air missiles with the Indian Air Force, an audit report by the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) has noted that nearly half the missiles tested either did not home in on targets during evaluations or failed ground tests because they were ageing much before their shelf lives.

The R 77 (RVV-AE) BVR missiles, fitted on board the Su-30 MKIs, MiG-29s and MiG-21 Bisons, were bought from Russia starting 1996. More than 2,000 missiles were ordered after the Kargil conflict and 1,000 have been delivered.

The CAG report, which will be released soon, is based on evaluations of the missile — its range is close to 90 km — during ground tests, inspections and test firing by the IAF. The missiles were bought at a “cost of Rs. 2 crore each” but their failure during tests, says the CAG report, has affected the “operational preparedness” of the IAF.

All figures in the report are based on air force records. Everything is verified by the IAF,” an official said.

The problem with the missiles was referred to Russia and several teams subsequently visited India to rectify faults. IAF officers familiar with the missiles confirmed that this has been a problem area for long. “It is a known fact that the missiles do not work as we would like them to. Periodic tests that are carried out when they are in storage show their dismal state. We also have problems with spare parts,” said a retired officer who was closely associated with the matter.

Former Air Chief Marshal S Krishnaswamy said: “When the missiles were bought, they were top of the line, world class systems that no other country had. As we did not have our own testing facilities, they had to be tested in Russia. The question to be asked is whether the government approved testing facilities for the missiles in India.”

The IAF has for long enjoyed an edge over Pakistan due to its inventory of BVR air-to-air missiles. In an article on the Pakistani side of the Kargil war — it was published in The Indian Express — the then PAF Director (Operations) Kaiser Tufail admitted that the presence of the BVR missiles with the IAF kept away the Pakistani F-16s from disrupting aerial bombing being carried out by India near the Line of Control.

To the algerian guy claiming that the moroccan army has a 40% operationnal rate:
The moroccan army is an army that has to maintain a war situation with limited budget (note that morocco is still at war, even under a cease fire). 40% operationnal rate means that almost half the army can be deployed at any time anywhere, and the other half isnt operationnal. Why ? because we still have to maintain a defense system in the south that is costy in men, logistics and surveilance.

Now, when it comes to the air force and navy, maybe the planes and boats lack regular painting but it doesnt mean they cant be deployed, it just means the budget isnt high enough to hire someone to paint them, we just need people to maintain them.

Now when it comes to algeria, the painting is more important than the maintainance, just like the sicko to your east. The planes, boats and tanks have to look good so they can parade. 20 years that algeria is struggling to get rid of 400 untrained fags, and it failed to the point that the problem became regionnal (AQMI). Now coming here and starting to talk shit about the moroccan army while urs can't handle a few guys with small arms, while morocco had to deal with an over equipped highly trained guerilla with an army composed with conscripts only, ur throwing shame on ur own flag. Now it's up to you to keep this going, knowing u hae no legitimacy to brag about anything, or you just put a stop to it and move on.

Cheers.

Dear friend,

By definition, the operational readiness rate is “The capability of a unit/formation, ship, weapon system, or equipment to perform the missions or functions for which it is organized or designed. May be used in a general sense or to express a level or degree of readiness. Also called OR.” In other words it has nothing to do with the painting of the tanks or the airplanes, its about how ready is your army for the job, and you can not get your OR to 100% by just painting the tank in green☺
Let’s see what the US. Had to say about your army” the FAR is plagued by institutional corruption, leadership that will not step aside, and low morale among mid-level officers. The FAR is preoccupied with operations in the Western Sahara region with between 50 and 70 percent of its total strength deployed there at any one time. The force in Western Sahara -- a landmass roughly two thirds the size of California -- is considered to be stretched thin with a reported estimated operational readiness rate of just 40 percent.”
It does not sound too good does it???? You can spin it any way you want it but at the end of the day you will still end up with a 40% OR, and there is no magic switch to turn that OR to 100%.
As the US. Said your army leaders are too busy making money and selling fishing rights to care about your army, or did I mention the low-moral of your officers?.

I can see that you are making an effort to keep up with Algeria but lets see what the US has to say about that” While we anticipate that the Palace will continue to modernize the military, with the notable possible acquisition of M-1 Abrams tanks, we are increasingly concerned that Morocco, not used to the high operating costs of these high end items (and other budgetary pressures) may make it increasingly difficult for the Moroccans to make payments on purchases. If payments become a problem for the GOM, this could sour relations temporarily
In other words, you guys might try to get weapons but unfortunately, you guys do not have the funds to maintain them, let along paint them or as they say in French.

Lets see what your ally, the US has to say about the Algeria, “"It is worth remembering that no country is more important than Algeria in the fight against Al Qaeda in the Sahel and Maghreb," the American ambassador to Algiers, David D. Pearce, wrote in a Jan. 6, “2010, cable.

Cheers.

Hate to burst your bubble, but we all know how your air force faired against...... the POLISARIO, what do you think will happened to it againt a much heavier DCA SYSTEMS.
You can hold on to your surprises all you want but as they say in French Morocco n'a pas les moyens de sa politique.

I like how you guys keep talking trash about Russian arms and turn around and buy T72 and DCA equipments.
Again, the fact that Morocco cannot afford is policies is outlined by the US as well

there were no ECM and no chaff&flares systems under our planes during sahara war, today things change
now you will have to deal with ACES and PAJ-FA rules my friend FAR VS ANP+POLISARIO (Tome I) - Page 7 Icon_big
russian missiles are often easy to jamme while AMRAAM and MICA keep biting your ass until you decide to puch ejection button

russian ATGM and DCA systems are pretty good and cheap especially affordable for a country with limited funds like us ! but when we talk about high-tech systems like planes, ships... the best is to choose credible gear... quality level should not be sacrified especially when we are not able the acquire big quantity

So you really think that your F16 will be able to jam the S300?? the fact and the matter is that we will know about your f16 as soo as they take off:)

Now, you are contradicting yourself, in one hand you are saying
Citation :
russian missiles are often easy to jamme
and on the other hand you are saying that
Citation :
russian ATGM and DCA systems are pretty good
you see you cannot have it both ways, i understand that they are used for different purposes but at the end they are all missiles.
in other words, you are saying that when Algerians buy Russian, its junk, and when morocco buys it, its a great equipment right??
Let's only hope we will never have to find out who's right:)

Nevertheless, according to many sources, The Algerian airforce will be launching 4 missiles toward the Moroccan goal keeper in
June, the fighters will be called , ZIANI, ZYAYA, GHAZAL and Boudebouz:)

@Samir

The low operationnal readiness, as i said, is due to the conflict in the south. Morocco has to deal with a military situation with a normal military budget. Next time dont make me repeat myself, and read what i said rather then change my words to what u think i said. I will not quote or rewrite my message, its up to you wether you want to read it again or not.

The M1s, since u brought it up, can easily be maintained at the GDLS branch in morocco. The cost of maintainance will be taken from the cost of maintainance of the tanks that might be put in reserve. The Moroccan army budget is now arround 4.3 billion dollars a year, and arround 1 billion goes straight to the defense system in the sahara, not including the logistics and wadges and maintainence of the men and weapon systems stationned there.

Morocco is not Bankrupt and will not be , it can afford any tank on the short term and its maintainance on the long term. Now rather than calling morocco poor, on the basis of some crappy wikileaks cables, try doing some real research and not just hold on to one single source.

About the JDAMs, the paveways and watever else "morocco can't buy", i believe you would want to check out the exact morocco's air force inventory and show it to us, so we can all confirm ur lousy little theory.

Here's mine:
Citation :
20 GBU-38, JDAM (907kg/2000lbs) (35,000$)
30 GBU-31, JDAM (227kg/500lbs) (70,000$)

20 GBU-24, PAVEWAY III kits; (907kg/2000lbs)
50 GBU-10, PAVEWAY II kits; (907kg/2000lbs)
150 GBU-12, PAVEWAY II kits; (227kg/500lbs)
60 Enhanced GBU-12 PAVEWAY II bombs; (907kg/2000lbs)

300 MK-82 training bombs

Meaning: 300 MK-82 training bombs + 330 kits ==> its obviously for training

Even if it wasn't, when we will run out of the 2000lbs Paveways and the 2000lbs cheap JDAMs (150 bombs), we will go for the 500lbs Paveways and Jdams (180 bombs). And if ur army is still up, we will use our war fund in the US (of being a MNNA) to buy those extra expansive 2000lbs JDAMs ( 200 JDAMS x 35 000$ = 7 million dollars).

Here, think about at least 150 of these babies in the moroccan army inventory :
