The Final Acceptance of ADİK class LCTs is succesfully continuing after 12 months of Warranty Period

8 vessels Landing Craft Tank (LCT) project of ANADOLU Shipyard, which was awarded to the Shipyard back in December 2008 and which officially started after contract negotiations on July 28th 2009, has past another important step on March 9th 2013, when the first LCT, namely TCG Ç-151, was delivered to Turkish Navy after 12 months of warranty period.

In Turkish Navy projects run by SSM (Undersecretariat of Defense Industries), the vessels are first delivered to Turkish Navy by the building shipyard under so called the "Provisional Delivery".

Then Turkish Navy uses the vessel(s) for 12 months during which the Shipyard provides full warranty for probable design, building and manufacturiing defects.

If at the end of 12 months Turkish Navy is fully satisfied with the vessel and if all the warranty claims are closed, then the so called "Final Acceptance" of the vessel is realized.

ANADOLU Shipyard, which achieved to complete the LCT projects first phase of Provisional Acceptances for 8 vessels in 37 months as agreed in its Contract with SSM (between July 28th 2009 and August 28th 2012), also is now achieving to complete ON TIME the Final Acceptance of the first four LCTs, namely TCG Ç-152 or NB 224; TCG Ç-153 or NB 225; TCG Ç-154 or NB 226.

The Turkish warship Atak circumnavigated eight Greek islands from 7 a.m. to 2:25 p.m. on May 26, violating Greek territorial waters, which is a common occurrence and draws no retaliation, only monitoring.

The Turkish warship, coming from the port of Smyrna, entered national territorial waters of Greece between the Greek islands Mykonos and Naxos, officials said. It next moved in a westerly course between the islands Sifnos and Serifos, in north, northeastern course between Kea and Kythnos and exited the territorial waters at 2:25 pm from Cavo D’Oro, between Euboea and Andros island.

According to the Hellenic National Defense General Staff, “a ship of the Hellenic Navy, as well as aircraft of the Hellenic Air Force were watching the said warship closely during the whole duration of its course.”

Turkey will receive its first Peace Eagle Boeing 737 airborne early warning and control (AEW&C) system aircraft before the end of 2013, a company official says.

"We are working some details out as we speak for our first aircraft delivery this year to the Turkish air force," says Tim Peters, vice-president of mobility, surveillance and engagement overview.

The aircraft is the first of four such examples for Turkey, and has been completed to a very similar standard to the six Wedgetail surveillance aircraft flying with the Royal Australian Air Force. South Korea also operates four similar aircraft under the moniker Peace Eye.

If Boeing were to be late in delivering the Turkish aircraft against its new schedule, the company could be liable to pay damages. "Our contract does have provisions for liquidated damages," Peters says. "We will work with our Turkish customer on what specifically those liquidated damages are."



Ankara's AEW&C acquisition was approved in December 2003, with its original programme schedule having called for a first delivery during 2006.

Yes sans doute, le MoD a sanctionné Boeing avec des pénalités financières pour les retards.

parceque je croyais que Aselsan allait produire des ESM ersatz pour parer a cet embargo,ce qui interpelle mtn sur la capacité a filler ce gap ou non

Le projet a déjà énormément de retard, on peut pas attendre encore quelques années.

Je rappelle qu'on a aucun moyen AEW&C (non mais Allo quoi !).

Aselsan va sauter une classe dans les technologies radar & guerre électronique d'ici 2-3 ans avec les nouvelles infra/département R&D. (REHIS).

Ce gap peut se filler mais pas tout de suite je pense, à terme, on pourra les remplacer peut-être.

Havelsan est déjà bien présent dans ce projet "HEIK".

TCG Göksu Joins CTF-151



The Turkish Navy announced that, the Gabya class Frigate F-497 TCG Göksu will take part in Joint Task Force-151 (CTF-151) between 6 June and 6 December 2013.
On 6 June 2013, on board of TCG Göksu was command hand over ceremony of CTF-151. Real Admiral Muhammad Ihsan Qadir from Pakistani Navy, replaced Read Admiral Giam Hock Koon from Singapore Navy.
TCG Göksu will serve as the flagship for Real Admiral Muhammad Ihsan Qadir in the next 3 months.

Il faudra internationaliser ses exercices pour faire la pub de notre Industrie aux autres pays (Egypte, KSA, ...)

Tous les princes et princesses ont étaient expulsé de la Turquie. Aujourd'hui, ils peuvent revenir en Turquie, mais ne rentrerons jamais l'armée.
