The international contest "Elbrus Ring" will be held in the Southern Military District
The international contest "Elbrus Ring-2017" will be held from July 30 to August 12 this year. On the territory of the Southern Military District (SE) in the Elbrus region on the basis of the sports center "Terskol".
Teams from 6 countries came to participate in the competitions in Kabardino-Balkaria: the Russian Federation, the People's Republic of China, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The Armed Forces of Russia will present the best alpine platoon of military intelligence based on the results of the all-army stage of the contest, which took place in July this year.
In the team championship, the servicemen of the armies of the six states will perform special climbing tasks in bundles on artificial terrain, overcoming the mountain obstacle course, shooting in the mountains as part of the group, hanging the crossing, orienting, overcoming the ice patch, landing with the march.
During the main stage of the competition, the participants of the contest will make a 105-kilometer march around Mount Elbrus with simultaneous fulfillment of 14 special tasks at an altitude of more than 3500 m.
Within 6 days, servicemen of mountain units will have to overcome 7 passes, 6 glaciers, 2 ice plateaus, 5 mountain rivers.
Each team has 12 members: the commander of the group is an officer, the rest are members of the rank and file of the sergeant.

L'une des deux Brigade d'Infanterie Parachutiste devrait participer à cette épreuve C'est assez original que les FAR manoeuvre avec les pays du BRICS (+ Iran...) alors qu'on était habituer à les voir plus dans le camps Occidental (OTAN)
