Cela dit tu rajoutes 100 millions et tu as une Fremm, reste à savoir combien nous ont coûtés les Sigma...

le prix, c est 400millions de livres (sa fait 600millions d euros) pour 3 AL KHAREEF...ou bien 133M de livre par navire sois 200millions d euros par navire .

c est 100millions de plus que la FREMM, mais je pense que 3 navire puissament armé valent mieu pour eu qu n seule gros trés puissament armé!!!!

pour nos SIGMA, c est 500Million d euros donc dans les 160millions l unité.

peut de chose prés les KHAREEFs et SIGMA jouent dans la meme cour ,que se soit au niveau du prix , ou de l armement.(MICA VL/EXO...etc..etc)

Oui pour le Fremm je faisais une comparaison avec notre achat, non parce qu'eux ils ont en pas autant besoin que nous tant au niveau de la surface à protéger que stratégiquement parlant !

Oman currently operates a fleet of three C-130Hs purchased in the early 1980s. The new C-130J will be used to further support Omani operations where its ability to operate out of remote austere airstrips will be invaluable.

This order for Oman brings to 11 the number of countries that have acquired C-130Js. Other nations which are operating or have ordered the C-130J include Australia, Canada, Denmark, India, Iraq, Italy, Norway, Qatar, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Headquartered in Bethesda, Md., Lockheed Martin is a global security company that employs about 146,000 people worldwide and is principally engaged in the research, design, development, manufacture, integration and sustainment of advanced technology systems, products and services. The corporation reported 2008 sales of $42.7 billion.

Le sultanat d'Oman pourrait acheter des chasseurs Eurofighter

Le sultanat d'Oman veut acheter un nombre non spécifié de chasseurs Eurofighter, annonce le gouvernement britannique de Gordon Brown.
Le communiqué publié par un porte-parole du Premier ministre ne donne aucune précision sur le nombre d'appareils ni sur la date prévisionnelle de conclusion du contrat. Il se borne à souligner que les négociations durent depuis trois ans.
La presse avait indiqué fin 2008 qu'Oman était en discussion avec BAE Systems pour acheter 24 Eurofighter Typhoon d'une valeur estimée à 1,4 milliard de livres (1,6 milliard d'euros).
Ni le gouvernement ni BAE n'ont dit si le contrat comprenait les avions prévus à l'origine pour l'armée de l'air britannique
Confronté à la nécessité de réduire son budget militaire, le Royaume-Uni s'était montré réticent l'an dernier à acheter une troisième série de Typhoon, avant de céder aux appels de l'Allemagne, dit-on de sources militaires.
Le Royaume-Uni, l'Allemagne, l'Italie et l'Espagne sont parvenus à un compromis qui divise la troisième livraison en deux parties, connues sous les noms de tranches 3A et 3B.
Mais le secrétaire d'Etat britannique à la Défense Quentin Davies avait déclaré à Reuters l'an dernier que le Royaume-Uni n'avait pas pris d'engagement d'acheter de nouveaux appareils dans le cadre de la tranche 3A.
Après l'annonce faite par les services du Premier ministre, BAE a émis un bref communiqué : "Oman est un pays avec lequel nous avons une longue et précieuse relation. (BAE) est prêt et désireux de soutenir toute demande de sa part."
S'il est confirmé, le contrat avec Oman pourrait relancer le projet Eurofighter. Les partisans du Typhoon soulignent sa rapidité et sa souplesse, ses adversaires estiment qu'il s'agit d'un coûteux vestige de la Guerre froide.
L'Arabie saoudite a acheté 72 Typhoon en 2006 et l'Inde envisage d'acquérir l'appareil.
BAE Systems fabrique l'Eurofighter Typhoon avec l'italien Finmeccanica et le constructeur aéronautique franco-allemand EADS.
Les moteurs sont fournis par un groupement constitué du britannique Rolls-Royce et de l'allemand MTU Aero Engines.
Il est en concurrence avec le F-16 de l'américain Lockheed Martin, le F/A-18 Super Hornet de Boeing, le Rafale de Dassault, le MiG-35 russe et le JAS-39 Gripen du suédois Saab.

NHIndustries is pleased to announce the delivery on time of the first batch of two NH90.multipurpose helicopters ordered by the Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO).
The Certificate of Transfer of both helicopters occurred on June 23 on the Royal Air Force of Oman base of MUSANA after a very demanding 2 months evaluation period in severe operational conditions.
This initial delivery which marks the first delivery of an NH90 in the middle east will be followed ahead of schedule, in July, by the acceptance process of the second batch of NH90.
These helicopters are supported by an integrated NHI/ RAFO maintenance team who will operate for the 1st time in the NH90 world a specific maintenance tool: GLIMS (Ground Logistic Information Management System).
The RAFO have up to now ordered 20 NH90 TTH in order to replace its fleet of ageing AB205A/206/212/214.
The NH90 TTH chosen by Oman is to date one of the most advanced and versatile version of the NH90. This NH90 fleet will cover a wide spectrum of missions from the VIP transport, to troop transport and Search and Rescue missions round the clock in the most demanding conditions.
This new generation helicopter combines a full composite airframe, an outstanding fly by wire control system, with two powerful engines and an integrated mission system in order to offer its customers the best level of performance of its class.
In addition, NHIndustries and its partner companies ensure the training of the crews and the support of the Omani fleet in order to guarantee the highest level of availability.
The introduction of such an advanced transport helicopter in the middle east attracts the attention of several countries in the region.
The NH90 is the most successful European helicopter programme ever. A total of 529 firm orders have been placed by 19 armed forces in 14 countries including France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, The Netherlands, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Greece, Spain and Belgium in Europe, as well as Australia, Oman and New Zealand overseas and 49 NH90 helicopters are already in service today.

WASHINGTON, July 2, 2010 – The Defense Security Cooperation Agency notified Congress June 30 of a possible Foreign Military Sale to Oman of logistics support and training for two C-130J-30 aircraft, including associated equipment and parts for an estimated cost of $54 million.

The Government of Oman has requested a possible sale of logistics support and training for two (2) C-130J-30 aircraft being procured through a Direct Commercial Sale, 2 AN/AAR-47 Missile Approach Warning Systems, 2 AN/ALE-47 Countermeasure Dispenser Sets, 2 AN/ALR-56M Radar Warning Receivers, communication equipment, software support, repair and return, installation, aircraft ferry and refueling support, spare and repair parts, support and test equipment, publications and technical documentation, personnel training and training equipment, U.S. Government and contractor engineering, technical, and logistics support services, and related elements of logistical and program support. The estimated cost is $54 million.

This proposed sale will contribute to the foreign policy and national security of the United States by helping to improve the security of a friendly country that has been, and continues to be, an important force for political stability and economic progress in the Middle East.

The proposed sale will provide Oman the capability to meet current and future regional threats. These aircraft will improve Oman’s airlift capacity to transport equipment and troops in the region, and will support U.S interests. The Royal Air Force of Oman currently operates 3 C-130H aircraft and will have no difficulty absorbing these aircraft into its armed forces.

Oman Vessel Named in Launching Ceremony at Portsmouth Naval Base

July 26, 2010 Portsmouth UK | The Royal Navy of Oman's (RNO) second Corvette, Al-Rahmani, was commissioned this morning at Portsmouth Naval Base. It is the second corvette out of three designed and built by BAE Systems for the RNO.

The Commissioning Ceremony was held under the auspices of His Excellency Sayyed Badir bin Saud bin Harib Al-Busaidi the Minister Responsible Defence Affairs in the Sultanate of Oman. The Ceremony was attended by Lord Astor, the Under Secretary of State for Defence in the UK and Rear Admiral Abdullah bin Khamis bin Abdullah Al-Raisi, Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman (CRNO) in addition to a number of VIPs and representatives of the RNO and the UK Royal Navy.

This event reflects the strategic importance given to these state-of-the-art corvettes by the Sultanate of Oman and UK at the time in which BAE Systems is seeking to boost its exports worldwide.

The commissioning of Al-Rahmani comes under the contract (Khareef) signed by the two sides in 2007 in light of which BAE Systems has to design and build three 99 metre corvettes.

The ships have the capacity to serve for prolonged periods overseas and are designed to reinforce the RNO capabilities and support the Naval Force in the protection of the international waters and the surveillance of EEZ.

Alan Johnston, Managing Director of BAE Systems' Surface Ships division, said: "We have been building ships for the RNO for over 30 years and are proud of the close working relationship we have developed, which is helping us to deliver the extremely sophisticated naval capability to the Royal Navy of Oman that you see here today.

"Today's event reflects the significant progress on this programme and reinforces our position as a leader in the global market to design, build and support warships for navies around the world."

On this occasion, Rear Admiral Abdullah bin Khamis bin Abdullah Al-Raisi said:

'By the almighty blessing, RNO celebrated this morning the commissioning of the ship (Al-Rahmani), the second ship of the Khareef Project to enter the service and it is a great fortune that this event coincides with the Sultanates Celebrations of the Blessed Renaissance Day anniversary led by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos the Supreme Commander of SAF and no doubt this inauguration is a further milestone to be added to the RNO achievement record and one of the landmarks of this prosperous era. In fact this project comes as an outcome of the continuous military cooperation between RNO and Royal Navy and enhances the excellent ties between RNO and BAE Systems, assigned with Project Khareef.'

The first ship (Al-Shamikh) was commissioned in July 2009 and will set sail for its first sea trials later this year.
