Currently, the 9th Aviation Battalion of the Aviation Regiment is based at the Royal Thai Army Aviation Center located at Somdet Phra Srinagarindra Camp, Khao Phra Ngam Subdistrict, Mueang Lop Buri District. Lopburi. 15 UH-60L, 3 UH-60M, and 3 UH-60A (Refurbished) delivered in 2020.
In total, the Royal Thai Army Aviation Center will have 24 general-purpose helicopters, UH-60L/M/A.
The Royal Thai Army Aviation Center is the administrative organization in the Royal Thai Army responsible for the doctrine, personnel, and configuration of all army aviation units. It is based at Fort Princess Srinagarindra, in Mueang Lopburi District. Thai military aviation began in 1911 when three Siamese army officers were sent to France to learn to pilot aircraft. They returned to Siam in 1913 with four Nieuport monoplanes and four Breguet biplanes. An aerodrome was constructed at Don Mueang and the army aviation units moved there on 17 March 1914. On 27 March 1914, the unit became the Army Air Corps. Since then, 27 March has been observed as the birthday of the Royal Thai Air Force.
In 1918, the Army Air Corps gained the status of a division consisting of three wings. It remained under the army until December 1921 when it was renamed the Air Division and was placed directly under the Ministry of War. The Air Division's name changed again in 1935 to the Air Force Division. In 1937 it was proclaimed the Royal Thai Air Force. In 1967 the Army Aviation School was founded, and the Army Aviation Center was created on 20 September 1977.

Defense Studies recalls that the RTAF selected a fleet of next-generation military training helicopters in February 2020, as part of its pilot training enhancement programme. Augmenting its current fleet of H225M helicopters, the new H135s will be dedicated to various training missions, including ab-initio training. “ We are happy that Thailand now joins ten other military operators across the globe, underscoring the H135 as the aircraft of choice for military pilot training”, said Pierre André, Head of Airbus in Thailand.
RTAF’s H135s are each configured with two external cameras, providing pilots with an unblocked 360-degree view of the external environment, Defense Studies reports. A suite of tactical systems and the Euronav7 moving map are installed onto the helicopters for enhanced situational awareness, at the same time offering the highest levels of functionality, interface capability, and flexibility to meet the air force’s rigorous missions. For enhanced crew comfort, the aircraft are fitted with conditioning systems, tinted windows and height-adjustable pilot seats.
RTAF’s H135 fleet is covered by Airbus’ highly adaptive HCare Smart full-by-the-hour support, and continuing airworthiness management organization digital services. As part of a customized support programme, a dedicated Technical Representative will be attached to RTAF’s operations for an initial two-year period to ensure the fleet’s high availability. Airbus will also deliver a Helionix advanced tool simulator to support RTAF’s ab-initio missions.
With over 130 units operated by military agencies worldwide for training missions, the 3-tonne-class H135 is a benchmark for training helicopters globally, having already achieved more than 400,000 military training flight hours. Well-equipped with the most advanced technologies available, including Airbus’ state-off-the-art Helionix avionics suite, the light twin-engine H135 offers optimal safety conditions for basic and advanced mission training, while providing a platform for easy and safe pilot transition to more advanced helicopters.

From the pictures published on the official Facebook page of DTI Thailand, the prototype of the CS/AH2 105mm light cannon is different from the CS/AH2A 105mm towed cannon that Norinco, China, had previously displayed at the China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition 2021 at Zhuhai, at several points.
As can be seen from the exterior, the Thai DTI CS/AH2 105mm prototype has a muzzle brake, a breech mechanism, and other components that look similar to a light cannon with a curved projectile BAE Systems M119 (L119), which is assembled in Thailand, totaling 22 units.
DTI's prototype CS/AH2 105mm, which was built with 2 guns, was also found to be equipped with a display on the gun. That looks similar to the 12 NEXTER LG1 Mk III 105mm light cannons that were recently delivered.
This makes it possible to consider that the CS/AH2 105mm light cannon should have a digital fire control system and a satellite coordinate system. The soil temperature measurement system drives the air current bullet and links with the Forward Observation Officer as well.
Light artillery, curved projectile M119, stationed in the 31st Artillery Battalion, King's Guard, 1st Artillery Regiment, King's Guard, 1st Division, King's Guard, and light artillery, curved projectile, LG1 Mk III, stationed In the 11th Artillery Battalion 1st Artillery Regiment, His Majesty's Guard, 1st Division, His Majesty's Guard.
The Royal Thai Army also needs new 105mm light cannons to replace a large number of old systems that have been in use for a long time and are outdated, such as 12 M425 towed light cannons and 32 M618A2 towed light cannons. Built in Thailand, etc.
