Ce conflit a changer profondément l'armée syrienne ( tous comme le pays d'ailleurs)

Sinon je me demande vraiment dans quel état se trouve actuellement l'armée syrienne, en tous cas en thermes d'effectifs elle est tomber en dessous de celui des FAR

il y a plus d'armée en réalité il n'y a presque plus d'armée syrienne a part une partie de SAF et la garde républicaine commandé par maher el assad le este est un congloméra de milice volontaire allié a ce qu'il reste des troupes

l'état est déplorable ses casernes pillé une bonne partie de la dat est passé a l'ennemie manque d'entretien a cause de la guerre manque de munition pour avion c'est d'ailleurs pour cela que les barrils de tnt ont été utilisé mais bon ça resiste bien quand même je trouve

According to BGN News, six MiG-31 long-range interceptor aircraft from Russia have landed in Damascus, in partial fulfillment of a protocol signed between Moscow and the Syrian regime in 2007. The deal signed in 2007 between Russia and Syria features the sale of a total of 8 MiG-31 jets, the local media unveiled on August 16.

The aircraft recently arrived at Mezze Airbase on the outskirts of Damascus, the Turkish BGN News agency reported on 16 August. Neither the Russian nor the Syrian authorities have so far commented publicly on the reported deliveries.
Russia is pushing for a broad international coalition in the fight against the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) featuring Syria, Iraq , the Kurdistan Regional Government, as well as other nations in the region. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will host his Iranian counterpart, Mohammad Javad Zarif, on Monday.

The MiG-31 is a Russian long-range, high-altitude, and high-speed interceptor developed to replace the MiG-25 "Foxbat". The MiG-31 was the world's first operational fighter with a passive electronically scanned array radar (PESA), the Zaslon S-800. The heart of the system is the SBI-16 Zaslon radar, codenamed 'Rash Dance' by NATO. MiG-31 supersonic aircraft is equipped with two Solovyev D-30F6 turbofan shaft engines with a take-off thrust 15,500kgf each. The dry thrust of the D-30F6 is 9,500kgf for each engine. The engine provides a maximum speed of Mach 1.23 at low altitude and increases the aircraft's range. The MiG-31's main armament is four R-33 air-to-air missiles (NATO codename AA-9 'Amos') carried under the belly. Other weapons include the old AA-6 'Acrid', originally deployed on the MiG-25, and the Molniya R-60 or Vympel R-73 short-range IR missiles, carried on wing pylons.

Russia supplied to BTR-82A Armoured Personnel Carrier Syria.

The BTR-82A is an upgraded version of the BTR-80A wheeled armored vehicles. In December 2008, Russia’s Military Industrial Company (MIC) was already testing the prototypes which were unveiled in December 2009.

In April 2010, Russian defence industry has started to market the BTR-82 and BTR-82A as a modernization program for existing BTR-80 operators. Russia will supply Kazakhstan until 2013, with 100 armoured vehicles BTR-82: 30 in 2011 and 70 in 2012.

The BTR-82A APC can perform combat operations 24 hours a day. The main armament of the APC is 30mm dual-feed automatic cannon. The gun can fire armour piercing-tracer (AP-T) projectiles, high-explosive fragmentation-incendiary (HEF-I) and high-explosive-tracer (HE-T) ammunition.

The secondary armament of the vehicle includes a 7.62mm PKTM coaxial machine gun. The turret incorporates two-axis stabilisation, new sighting channels, and three forward-facing 81mm smoke grenade launchers on each side. The firing elevation ranges from -7° to +70°.

In the Internet has been published photos of GAZ-233001 “Tiger” at the disposal of the detachment of government troops in Syria.

The vehicle was designed to transport troops and various equipment quickly on road and off-road. It has a chassis frame construction, with a traditional layout of front engine, middle crew compartment, and rear cargo area. Standard features include: power steering, independent all-wheel torsion suspension with hydraulic shock absorbers and stabilizer bars, a transfer case with a locking center differential, limited slip differentials, dual-range transmission, automatic tire inflation, engine block heater, and electric winch.

The GAZ-233001 has optional air conditioning, stereo, electric windows, and an anti-lock braking system, it is the civilian version of the military vehicle costing 60 thousand dollars

Russia reportedly supplies Syrian government forces with grenade launchers and armored personnel carriers.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Russia supplies Syrian government forces with firearms, grenade launchers and armored personnel carriers as the country is struggling with radical ISIL militants, the Russian Kommersant daily reports citing military-technical sources.

The supplies "are in accordance with international law and in line with all formalities and existing contracts [between the Russian and Syrian government]," the source told the newspaper on Thursday.
The weaponry and military hardware are needed to help the Syrian army counter the advances of ISIL radicals, who have ceased vast areas in the country, the source explained, expressing confidence that the aid will significantly contribute to anti-ISIL efforts.
According to Russian President Vladimir Putin, Russia provides "considerable" support to Syria in terms of equipment, training and weaponry.


On Wednesday, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stressed that Russian military specialists deployed in Syria are not participating in military operations in the conflict-torn country and are limited to an "advisory role."
Syria has been mired in civil war since 2011. Government forces loyal to Syrian President Bashar Assad are fighting against several opposition and radical Islamist militant groups, including the al-Nusra Front (Jabhat al-Nusra) and ISIL radicals.
Russia has been engaged in international efforts to find a political solution to the ongoing conflict in Syria and has been providing humanitarian aid to the conflict-torn country.


Last week Putin said that Moscow and Washington were discussing the creation of an international anti-terrorism coalition, but cautioned that it was too early to discuss Russia getting involved in direct military action against ISIL militants.
The United States is leading an international coalition that has been conducting airstrikes against ISIL positions in Iraq and Syria since 2014.
Russia has repeatedly criticized the US-led coalition for not seeking approval from the UN Security Council and the Syrian government before launching the airstrikes.
The United States has also been supporting the so-called moderate Syrian opposition by providing it with training and equipment.

On Monday evening, a Syrian Arab Air Force (SAAF) helicopter suddenly crashed near the Palestinian “Nayrab Refugee Camp” after coming under heavy gunfire from the Syrian Al-Qaeda group “Jabhat Al-Nusra” and Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham during its take-off at this area in the Aleppo Governorate’s southeastern countryside. According to a military source in Aleppo, the aircraft was carrying medical supplies, food, clothing, and other provisions for the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) soldiers that under the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham’s (ISIS) brutal siege at the Kuweries Military Airport in southeast Aleppo. The military source added that the pilot and his crew were all also killed by the impact of the crash; this aerial disaster marks the second time in two months that a Syrian Air Force helicopter has crashed outside of Aleppo City.

ISIS have claimed they have shot down a Su-22M-4 in Syria

7th Sep. 2015, a SyAAF Su-22M-4 operating from T4 airbase was shot down over Jazal oil field area located around 40km to the north east of the said airbase. ISIS media reported shooting down the aircraft claimed as ‘MiG-21‘ which is apparently not. The Islamic State (IS) group reported on Thursday that it has shot down a MiG-21, a Russian jet, near the Jazal oil field in the Homs governorate.
