Melara presents the new HITROLE-G RWS at NAVDEX 2013

During NAVDEX 2013 Oto Melara, a world leader in naval weapon systems, presented for the first time a full scale model of its HITROLE-G RWS naval weapon system. The Oto Melara HITROLE RWS is a modern, fully stabilised, electrically operated and remotely controlled naval weapon system for policing operations and countering asymmetric threats. The turret can be easily operated by a single operator through a Remote Control Console and joystick or can be controlled by the ship’s Combat Management System.

The combination of the optical sight, the ballistic computer with very high speed computation, the outstanding elevation angle (exceeding the 75°) and the possibility to be equipped with different cannons, grant to the User a multi-role capabilities and a very flexible deployment.

HITROLE G RWS

The new HITROLE-G is an evolution of the existing HITROLES RWS featuring the GAU-19A triple 12.7 mm gun and a low radar cross-section design. More than 150 HITROLE RWSs have been produced so far and they are in service with more than 10 Navies or Coast Guards all over the world, in some cases as primary weapon on board of small and fast ships for patrolling and in some others as secondary armament on board of corvettes.

Nein. On n'es pas assez bling bling pour ce genre de trucs

Juste les roquettes sont d'origine Turque, encore on les co-produit avec eux (EAU) depuis 2010/2011 il me semble.

Dommage pour le Maroc avec tous les partenariats que proposent les Turcs qui permettent d'acquérir du know-how ...

c´est la folie des bedouins comme tjs,vulnerable avec 37km max de portée,si ce design aurait ete revolutionnaire bcp de pays l´auraient realisé bien avant(URSS par exemple qui aimait le lourd)
ca bouge lentement,et pour ce calibre de MLRS la regle est la mobilité,car a peine que tes roquettes sont en vol,tu dois t´attendre a la reponse ennemie en quelques secondes(counter-battery),ce truck est foutu dans ce cas.

c´est volumineux,lourd,ca passe pour du 100km+ mais pas ce calibre

faut aussi pensé au rechargement qui doit prendre pas mal de temp et la logistique pour alimenter suffisament en roquette ce montre ( imaginé 3 ou 4 de ces engin sur le champs de bataille et calculer le nombre de roquette a prevoir )

bling bling et trop vulnerable.

February 21 2013.

ARMS-TASS , February 20. Russia successfully completes upgrade multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) "Twister" in Kuwait and began the modernization of the BMP-3 in the country. This ARMS-TASS reported head of the delegation of "Rosoboronexport" at the exhibition of arms "IDEX-2013" Nicholas Dimidyuk.

"In Kuwait, we are now being modernized BMP-3 and" Twister. "Modernization" Smerch "is nearing completion," - said Dimidyuk.

He recalled that Kuwait is the first country to have been exported complexes "Twister." In1995. State Research and Production Enterprise (SSPE) "Fusion" delivered to this country 18 MLRS "Smerch".

"We equip" Twister "new fire control system with new gyrocompass and a satellite navigation system GPS, improve command center stations and replacement of computers, improve the coupling launcher from the weather station and command center for all data peredavalist in automatic mode," - he stressed.

Russia also is modernizing Park BMP-3 in the United Arab Emirates. Currently in Abu Dhabi is being tested first upgraded machine. "We are waiting for the conclusion of the Emirates side, but to my knowledge, sea trials were brilliant," - said the head of the delegation of "Rosoboronexport".
