En effet les Russes poussent leurs alliés a remplir leur arsenaux et ils les livrent pieds et point liés au couteau des Américains et de l'OTAN au Conseil de Sécurité de l'ONU

A contract on the supply of advanced Russian anti-ship missiles to Syria is being implemented, head of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation Mikhail Dmitriyev said on Wednesday.
Russia has repeatedly said it would honor a 2007 contract on the delivery of several Bastion anti-ship missile systems armed with SS-N-26 Yakhont supersonic cruise missiles to Syria, despite efforts by Israel and the United States to stop the deal.
“This contract is under implementation,” Dmitriyev told reporters in Moscow but declined to elaborate.
The Yakhont missile has a range of 300 kilometers, the capacity to carry a 200-kilogram warhead and the unique ability of being able to cruise several meters above the water surface, making it difficult to detect and intercept.
Dmitriyev also said Russia will meet its goal to export $11.7 billion worth of weaponry in 2011.

MOSCOW — Russia has delivered supersonic cruise missiles to Syria despite the violence shaking the Arab country and Israel's furious condemnation of the deal, a news report said on Thursday.
"The Yakhont supersonic anti-ship cruise missiles have been delivered to Syria," a military source told the Interfax news agency without disclosing when the shipment was made.
Russia signed a contract reportedly worth at least $300 million (222 million euros) in 2007 to supply its traditional Arab world ally with a large shipment of the cruise missiles.
Reports said Russia intended to deliver 72 of the missiles to Syria in all.
The deal immediately angered Israel, which fears the weapons may fall into the hands of Hezbollah militants in neighbouring Lebanon.
Russia has since also come under growing pressure from Washington, which wants all military sales to President Bashar al-Assad's regime halted because of his deadly crackdown on Syrian street protests.
But Moscow has defended Assad against global pressure and this week argued that its arms sales were permitted under international law and would continue.
Another Russian official told Interfax that the missiles, which operate as part of the Bastion mobile coastal defence system, "will be able to protect Syria's entire coast against a possible attack from the sea."
Each Bastion system is equipped with 36 cruise missiles as well as truck-mounted radar and other equipment.
It was not immediately clear how many of the missiles Russia has delivered to Syria so far.

missile anti navire livrée par la russie dernierement
De quoi faire hésiter un peu la VIéme flotte américaine...Les russes veulent gagner du temps, et sécuriser indirectement les cotes syrienne ( sans faire recours à leur GAN ).

si les etats unis s'attaquent a la syrie rien ne pourra la sauver et ce n'est surement pas les russes qui les aideront bachar a juste l'incroyable chance d'etre le voisin d'israel.

The Syrian regime, which has endured nine months of civil unrest spurred by the Arab Spring as it swept across the Middle East, has armed its medium-range missile arsenal with chemical warheads.
According to a report published by the Sabah daily Sunday, Damascus armed 600 one-ton chemical warheads to use in the event of a foreign military intervention. Furthermore, President Bashar al-Assad ordered the deployment of 21 missile launchers along its border with Turkey. According to the daily, the Syrian military keeps its stockpile of chemical warheads in secret facilities in and around the capital city of Damascus. In mid-November, President Assad held a special meeting with top commanders of the Syrian army and argued over how to respond to a possible military intervention by the international community. Additionally, Russia, which stood by the Assad regime’s defiance of international pressure on Damascus, sent 3 million gas masks to the troubled country. Most of those masks will be distributed to the regime’s loyalists, the families of soldiers and Baath supporters. The distribution of the masks is set to be completed by the end of December, according to the daily. Syria is believed to have had a chemical weapons arsenal for more than three decades. Following heavy defeats against Israel in conventional warfare, international defense sources believe that following the Yom Kippur War of 1973, Hafez al-Assad, the former general of the Syrian Air Force, decided to bolster Syria’s strategic position through the development of ballistic missiles to counter Israel’s superiority in conventional warfare. The unchallenged superiority Israeli air forces led Syrian generals to push for other means to protect the regime. From then on, Syria has launched clandestine efforts to develop chemical warheads with ballistic missile delivery systems.

Navy and Air Force Conduct Live Fire Maneuvers

DAMASCUS, (SANA)- According to the operational training plan for 2011, the Air Force and Air Defense on Tuesday conducted a live fire demonstration with the participation of formations of Air Force fighters, fighter bombers, fire support helicopters and the Air Defense formations.
The demonstration was aimed at testing the combat capability and readiness of the Air Force and Air Defense to confront any possible aggression that might target Syria's land and airspace.
The participant formations showed a high level of coordination and cooperation under conditions similar to a real battle. The personnel demonstrated a qualitative expertness and capability in handling advanced weapons in detecting, tracking and destroying hostile targets, firing real missiles.
The Air Force members displayed excellent maneuver capability and skillfulness in using weaponry and striking and hitting targets with high accuracy.
The fire demonstration included a successful airdrop operation by the Special Forces, which showed a qualitative level of training and ability to carry out tasks under various conditions.
Deputy General Commander of the Army and the Armed Forces, Defense Minister, Gen. Dawood Rajiha, applauded the performance of the members of the Air Force and Air Defense who participated in the demonstration, stressing the Armed Forces' permanent readiness to defend the homeland by land, air and sea.
In parallel, the Navy conducted an operational tactical maneuver with live fire, as part of the combat training plan of the Navy for 2011.
Marine and coastal missiles participated in the maneuver under conditions similar to a real battle, hitting the assumed hostile targets with accuracy that reflected the high level of combat training the marine personnel had and their efficiency in using modern maritime weapons.
The maneuver demonstrated the naval forces' ability to repulse any possible aggression under various conditions.
Chief of General Staff Gen. Fahd Jassem al-Freij hailed the performance of the naval forces personnel and the good preparedness that made the maneuver a success.
