En 2011, le consortium russe de construction navale OSK livrera à la Marine du pays et aux clients étrangers 17 bâtiments de guerre, dont deux sous-marins nucléaires lanceurs d'engins (SNLE), a annoncé mercredi aux journalistes le PDG du consortium, Roman Trotsenko.
"Cette année, nous projetons de livrer 17 bâtiments de guerre aux forces navales russes et aux clients étrangers, y compris des SNLE et des bâtiments de surface", a-t-il déclaré lors du Salon international de la défense maritime (IMDS-2011) qui se déroule du 29 juin au 2 juillet à Saint-Pétersbourg.
M. Trotsenko a précisé que la Marine russe recevrait deux sous-marins nucléaires, mais a refusé de citer leurs noms.
Une source bien informée au sein du complexe militaro-industriel a confié à RIA Novosti qu'il s'agissait du sous-marin stratégique Iouri Dolgorouki (utilisé mardi pour un test du missile balistique intercontinental Boulava) et du sous-marin nucléaire à fonctions multiples Severodvinsk.
Selon M. Trotsenko, l'OSK construit actuellement 54 navires, dont 40 pour les forces navales russes et 14 pour des pays étrangers.

The crew of a Su-30 fighter that crashed earlier on Tuesday in Russia’s Far East reported an engine fire before the crash, a spokesman for the Main Military Investigative Directorate said.
The Su-30MK2 fighter jet crashed 130 km northeast of Komsomolsk-na-Amure during a post-construction test flight. Both pilots ejected safely, although one of them was hurt on landing.
“While executing acceleration to a maximum speed, the first pilot reported a fire in the right engine,” the spokesman said. “The flight controller immediately ordered the crew to eject.”
“The investigators are taking all necessary steps to establish the cause of the crash,” the official said.
The aircraft belonged to the Komsomolsk-na-Amure factory where Su-30s are manufactured.
The Russian military earlier said that the plane had been built for export.
Su-30MKI (Flanker-H) multirole fighter
Su-family fighters constitute the bulk of Russia's arms exports.
Variants of Su-30 Flanker fighters are in service with air forces in several foreign countries, including India, Indonesia, China, Algeria, Vietnam and Venezuela.

« Nous avons l’intention d’installer des systèmes de missiles pour mieux protéger le navire et d’augmenter le nombre d’hélicoptères de lutte anti-sous-marine » a-t-il indiqué, le 16 février dernier. « Les Mistral qu’on construit pour la marine russe seront probablement équipés d’armes dotées d’ogives spéciales de conception russe » a-t-il ajouté, sans pour autant préciser ce qu’il entendait pas « ogives spéciales ».
Selon une source industrielle russe anonyme qui s’est confiée à l’agence de presse Itar-Tass, il serait question d’équiper les BPC « de systèmes d’armes ultra-modernes », comme « des lanceurs de missiles de croisière supersoniques et des systèmes de défense anti-missiles, anti-aériens et anti-sous-marins ».
Ces précisions ont été confirmée par l’état-major russe. « Nous n’avons pas besoin de bâtiments de débarquement désarmés, comme ceux de la marine française. En fait, ces Mistral ne sont rien d’autres que de gros ferries avec des systèmes de commandement, de navigation, de reconnaissance et de communication. Ce sont des postes de commandement flottants vulnérables, qui doivent être protégés des attaques aériennes et navales par d’autres navires et l’aviation » a déclaré un porte-parole.
« Les BPC russes auront aussi à contrôler des forces comprenant des navires de surface, des sous-marins et des moyens aéronavals ou encore des groupes inter-armées et pas seulement à transporter des fusiliers marins avec leurs véhicules blindés, des hélicoptères ou des engins de débarquement » a-t-il poursuivi. « Ils doivent disposer de capacités d’attaque suffisante pour être des bâtiments multifonctions à part entière au sein de ces forces » a-t-il ajouté.

Russian Defense Ministry to Buy 92 Su-34 Fighters
The Russian Defense Ministry has signed a deal for 92 Su-34 Fullback fighter-bombers from the Sukhoi aircraft maker, the ministry said on Thursday.
The deal under which the warplanes are to be delivered by 2020 was signed by Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov and Sukhoi General Director Igor Ozar.
This is one of the largest warplane contracts under the government arms procurement program and it will help replace all of the Su-24 bombers currently in service with the “4+ generation” aircraft, Serdyukov said.
The ministry previously said a total of 70 Su-34s will be delivered by 2015.
The news comes a week after Russia partially resumed flights of Su-24 Fencer tactical bombers after one of them crashed in Russia’s Urals.
All Su-24s were grounded after the crash, in the woods of the Kurgan region during a routine flight on February 13. Both pilots ejected safely. The crash was the third of a Su-24 in Russia over the last four months. The two previous crashes occurred in October and December 2011.
It has been in service with the Russian Air Force since the mid-1970s. However, in recent years Russia has gradually been phasing out the planes, which have a patchy safety record.
The Defense Ministry earlier said the Air Force will procure over 1,500 new aircraft by 2020.
Russia started the full-scale production of Su-34s in 2008 at a Novosibirsk-based aircraft-manufacturing plant, a subsidiary of the Sukhoi Aircraft Holding.
Designed by Sukhoi, the $36-million Su-34 fighter-bomber is a two-seat strike aircraft fitted with twin AL-31MF afterburner turbojet engines.
It is designed to deliver high-precision strikes on heavily-defended targets under any weather conditions, day or night, and is equipped with a 30-mm GSh-301 cannon, up to 12 Alamo or Archer AAMs, ASMs, and bombs.

c'est pour ca qu'il font des teste, pour voir si tou fonctionne bien. meme les usa ont des crache ! ya qua regardé le topic sur les usa. rien ne sert de generalisé.
les russe on peut etre du retar, mais le rapport cout/efficacité est imbatable
depuis l'entré en service dans les armée du su-30 MKX il y a eu que tres peu de crash je crois 3, je parle pas des demonstrateur.

Avant son arrêt qui va durer jusqu'à 2017, le Kuz a commencé des essais des Mig29K qui vont entré en service d'ici 2013. A rappeler que la Navy a commandé 24 Mig-29K dont 4 K-UB.

The Russian Navy's Northern Fleet has accepted into service a modernized Ilyushin Il-38N anti-submarine warfare aircraft, which will also carry out electronic intelligence (ELINT) duties, the Northern Fleet's press spokesman Captain Vadim Serga said on Monday.
"A modernized Il-38N was accepted into service at a Northern Fleet air base" he said. "It has a wider range of combat capabilities. These aircraft can be used for mapping the magnetic and gravitational fields of the Northern Ice sea, and also for conducting scientific oceanographic research and underwater and air reconnaissance," he added.
He did not specify if the aircraft was the first of its type to be delivered to the Northern Fleet.
The majority of the fleet's Il-38s will be modernized to the new standard, according to a source who spoke to RIA Novosti. The Il-38N is fitted with the Novella sensor system, capable of detecting targets within a 320 km radius of the aircraft as well as radar observation of underwater, surface and airborne targets.
The Novella system includes a digital computer manned by two operators. The system also has a new high resolution thermal imaging system, a magnetic anomaly detection system, an optical detection system (including laser, TV and thermal channels), gravitational anomaly detector and other equipment.

Two Die in Ka-52 Helicopter Crash in Russia
Two pilots died after a Kamov Ka-52 (Hokum B) attack helicopter crashed during a training flight near Torzhok in Russia’s Tver Region on Tuesday, the Defense Ministry said.
“A rescue group found the helicopter some 10 kilometers west of Torzhok air field at 08.45 am Moscow Time” he said. One pilot died immediately in the crash, and the second died in hospital shortly after.
There was no ammunition on board the helicopter, which was conducting a training flight, Konashenkov added.
The Defense Ministry has said it will not suspend Ka-52 flights as a result of the incident. An investigation group has been set up to find the causes of the crash. The aircraft’s flight data recorders will soon be handed over to specialists to establish the reasons behind the accident, Defense Ministry spokesman Col. Vladimir Drik said.
This is the first loss of a Ka-52 multirole attack helicopter, but there have been previous accidents involving the single-seat Ka-50, from which the Ka-52 is derived.
A Ka-50 crashed in June 1998 during an air display, killing the base commander at Torzhok. An official accident report said the helicopter's co-axial rotor blades hit each other during hard maneuvering.
The Ka-50 and Ka-52 are unique among helicopters in having ejection seats. The seats operate after explosives in the rotor head blow off the rotor blades to give the crew a safe exit.
The Ka-52 is armed with a 30-mm cannon, Vikhr (Whirlwind) laser-guided missiles, rockets and bombs. The helicopter is also equipped with two radars, one for ground and one for aerial targets and a Samshite day- night thermal imaging system.
Development of the Ka-52 started in 1994 in Russia, but serial production only began in 2008.

The U.S. Department of Defense should drop a $900 million contract with Russian arms sales company Rosoboronexport to supply helicopters to Afghanistan's forces, if Moscow continues to arm the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, 17 senators have said in a statement sent to Pentagon head Leon Panetta, the Foreign Policy Journal reports.
"I am concerned that the U.S. Army is listed among the clients of Rosoboronexport. The United States has many alternative places to purchase helicopters, should we be rewarding Russia for its actions on Syria by buying their Mi-17s?" Senator John Cornyn said at a hearing on Thursday.
Cornyn and another senator, Dick Durbin, are the authors of the statement.
Army Chief of Staff Gen. Raymond Odierno pointed out in response, "there are no other options to meet the operational needs of the Afghan security forces. They are familiar with these helicopters and we are told that the Mi-17 is absolutely necessary to maintain the viability of the Afghan security forces."
Members of the lower chamber of the Russian parliament, the State Duma, said they were perplexed by the statement. “A number of senators have recently made statements that seem strange at best. Possibly this statement is one of them,” said Irina Yarovaya, who heads the State Duma’s security and anti-corruption committee.
The Mi-8 and its uprated successor, the Mi-17 were used in great numbers by the Soviet Union during its war in Afghanistan, and by its client regime there. Many were left in the country after the Soviet withdrawal and used by the forces of the Mujahideen groups and the Taliban.
The most widely produced helicopter in history, the Mi-8/17 has earned a reputation for reliability and strength and is popular with the forces of many third-world nations.
Britain has been involved in training aircrew for the Mi-17 for the nascent Afghanistan armed forces.
