Moi en général j'ai jamais perdu espoir pour la simple raison que sur la notification en 2012 ... il y avait ecrit clairement que le processus prendrait "up to five years" , en gros men 2017 lfou9.
C'est la première fois que on accueille ce type de matos très technique sur tout les plan, les infrastructures monstres que il faut ... donc pour moi c'est dans la logique des choses

ANNISTON -- Republican Sen. Jeff Sessions on Wednesday came to a town hall meeting at the Anniston Army Depot, telling of increased spending for equipment refurbished at the facility.

Sessions, of Mobile, a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, said he’s confident that a defense spending bill will pass Congress.

That bill, he said, will likely include $300 million in extra funding for revamping the Stryker vehicle, which the depot repairs and refurbishes.

Sessions said defense officials want to make the Stryker more lethal, and the threat Russia poses to eastern Europe has brought out support for such changes among policymakers.

Sessions said the Stryker work could mean as many as 132 new jobs in the area.

The senator added that the U.S. government also plans to sell more than 200 M1A1 Abrams tanks, which are also repaired at the depot, to the government of Morocco.

Sessions said Moroccan officials have visited the depot, and he believes they were impressed.

“I believe that we're pretty firmly set that those tanks that they'll be receiving from the United States ... will be repaired and refurbished here before they're sent to Morocco,” he said.

When asked about the depot’s contracts to repair firearms such as M16s and M9 handguns, Sessions said, “We have to maintain our small arms, and we will continue to do that.”

He said that, overall, things are going well for Alabama’s defense programs, and he sees no signs of major degradation for any of them.

Sessions did say, however, that defense officials plan on reducing the number of active duty military members to less than 500,000 from the current 570,000. With the American government projected to pay around $800 billion a year just in interest payments on the nation’s debt, the senator said, “We’re going to have to defend every program we have.”

Despite the drawdown, Sessions said, defense funding must not decrease as the U.S. deals with crises in Iraq and Syria as well as concerns about Russia invading other countries as it did Ukraine.

“The world is just in a lot different place,” Sessions said.

Senator Jeff Sessions says the success of the pending defense budget will help the Anniston Army Depot in many ways.

On Wednesday, Sessions held a town hall meeting with some of the depot's employees as well as community leaders.

He said a deal to sell arms to Morocco will likely mean the depot will get the tank work. He added that the military of Greece has also expressed interest in the depot's small arms shop.

“Anniston had a good year, really. We were able to plus up a good bit of spending over what was in the president's budget,” Sen. Sessions said.

Sessions says Russia and its activities in Europe could make the depot's role more important to the nation's military as well.

He says he hopes to be back soon with more positive announcements for the installation.

Exact Juba fallait pas trop parler, dans la notification c'était écrit de 2012 que la période sera de 5 ans, salat lhedra. Les US on tracé la feuille de route to 2017 , ces gens la sont sérieux si ils disent blanc c'est blanc si noir c'est noir. Et moi j'ai jamais perdu espoir parce que le timing été annoncé.
