Turkish fighter plane crashes, 2 pilots survive



ANKARA, Turkey -- Turkish Air Force says a fighter jet has crashed shortly after takeoff during a training flight but its two pilots escaped unharmed after ejecting.
The Air Force said the plane crashed within perimeters of a base near the western city of Eskisehir on Tuesday.
It says the pilots were well but have been taken to a hospital for medical examination.
It says the cause of the crash is under investigation.

Navantia présentera en mai à la Turquie une offre pour un bâtiment amphibie


Navantia présentera le mois prochain à la marine turque une proposition pour la conception et le transfert de technologies d’un bâtiment amphibie.
L’action commerciale du chantier naval espagnol s’intensifiera au début mai, puisque l’entreprise publique participera à une exposition de matériels navals, qui aura lieu du 10 au 13 mai à Istanbul. Elle espère attirer les autorités du pays pour leur présenter ses modèles de bâtiments et en particulier le bâtiment amphibie Juan Carlos I.
De plus, pour renforcer encore les possibilités de contrat, le plus important bâtiment de la marine espagnole arrivera au large de la Turquie le 30 mai et y fera escale jusqu’au 3 juin. Les chantiers publics espagnoles se disent confiants de pouvoir faire visiter le bâtiment au gouvernement et à la marine turcs : ils pourront ainsi voir in situ les caractéristiques et les avantages du bâtiments face à ses concurrents.
Ainsi, la présence d’une frégate espagnole F-100 en Australie a été déterminante pour que la marine australienne retienne ce modèle alors que, celui présenté par le chantier américain Gibb and Cox était jusque là le favori.
C’est pourquoi l’entreprise espagnole espère que la présence en Turquie du Juan Carlos I, un type de bâtiment qui a remporté des succès en Australie, puisse jouer en sa faveur, face aux autres propositions, comme celle qui sera présentée par DCNS avec le Mistral.
Un associé local


L’issue de l’appel d’offres devrait être connue l’an prochain. L’intention de la marine turque est que le bâtiment retenu soit construit en Turquie, avec un partenaire local. Navantia a déjà conclu un accord de collaboration avec le chantier turc Sedef.

Le LHD classe Juan Carlos I peut aussi porter du F35b...
Je pense que les turcs peuvent faire jouer la concurrence entre l'Espagne et la Corée du Sud. Même si on a plus l'habitude de coopérer avec notre pays frère la Corée.
