L'Iran a intercepté deux drones de surveillance miniatures de fabrication américaine au cours des dix-sept derniers mois, ont annoncé aujourd'hui les médias iraniens.

Des drones légers de type RQ-11 Raven ont été abattus par des unités iraniennes de défense aérienne en août 2011 et novembre 2012, a annoncé le contre-amiral Amir Rastegari à l'agence Fars.

"La plupart des données de ces drones ont été décodées par le Centre de recherche et du djihad de l'armée", a-t-il dit sans plus de précisions.

Fabriqué par la société AeroVironment, le RQ-11 Raven est utilisé par l'armée américaine pour des opérations de surveillance à basse altitude.

L'Iran avait intercepté début décembre un drone américain chargé de collecter des renseignements lors de son entrée dans l'espace aérien iranien au-dessus du Golfe arabo-persique, mais la marine américaine avait indiqué n'avoir perdu aucun appareil.

Iran has unveiled its latest combat helicopter Toufan 2 (Storm 2) during a ceremony attended by the country’s Defense Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi. Iran also unveiled its first domestically manufactured helicopters during the inauguration ceremony of the Sixth International Aviation Industry Exhibition on December 12, 2012. Panha 1 and Panha 2 helicopters are designed to conduct military operations and logistic missions, and can carry 14 and 8 passengers respectively. The Shahriar, a completely overhauled medium-lift, twin-engine helicopter with a capacity of 20 passengers, was also displayed during the 2012 ceremony on Iran’s southern Kish Island. In recent years, Iran has made great achievements in the defense sector and attained self-sufficiency in essential military equipment and systems. The Islamic Republic has repeatedly made it clear that its military might is merely based on the nation's defense doctrine of deterrence and poses no threat to other countries

Iran Navy to Deploy to Mediterranean

MOSCOW, January 16 (RIA Novosti) - Iran will deploy a fleet of warships to the Mediterranean Sea, Navy chief Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari said on Wednesday.

“The Navy’s 24th fleet of warships will patrol the north of the Indian Ocean, the Gulf of Aden, Bab-el-Mandeb, the Red Sea, Suez Canal and the Mediterranean Sea for three months and will even sail as far as southeastern Asian countries,” Sayyari was quoted by Press TV as saying.

The 23rd fleet of warships will return to the country next week, he added.

Referring to the Navy’s recent drill, dubbed Velayat 91, Sayyari said the maneuver displayed Iran’s naval capability and its ability to counter any threat against the interests of the Islamic Republic.

On Friday, Iran Navy launched six-day naval drills codenamed, dubbed Velayat 91, to “defend its maritime borders and maintain lasting peace in the region.”

The exercises covered a vast area including the Strait of Hormuz, the Sea of Oman, north of the Indian Ocean, the Gulf of Aden and Bab-el-Mandeb Strait.

Commander of the Iranian Army Ground Force Brigadier General Ahmad Reza Pourdastan said the Army plans to unveil an optimized version of the home-made Zolfaqar tank in the near future. "The tank's fire control system and stabilizer have been optimized and it will be unveiled by the next two weeks," Pourdastan told reporters in Tehran.

Iran to Unveil New Defense Achievements in Days TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi announced that his ministry would display several defense achievements in the next few days.

Vahidi said new achievements will be unveiled during the Ten-Day Dawn ceremonies from January 31 to February 10, celebrating the victory of the Islamic Revolution back in 1979. Tehran launched an arms development program during the 1980-88 Iraqi imposed war on Iran to compensate for a US weapons embargo. Since 1992, Iran has produced its own tanks, armored personnel carriers, missiles and fighter planes. Iran, Russia sign security agreement

TEHRAN, Jan. 22 (Xinhua) -- Iran and Russia signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) here on Tuesday to increase security cooperation between the two countries, Press TV reported.

Iranian Interior Minister Mostafa Mohammad-Najjar and visiting Russian Minister of Internal Affairs Vladimir Alexandrovich Kolokoltsev signed the MoU during a meeting in Tehran on Tuesday.

Kolokoltsev arrived in the Iranian capital on Monday for a two- day official visit upon the invitation of the Iranian interior minister.

Mohammad-Najjar was quoted as saying that "Signing the security MoU is a cornerstone in the expansion of cooperation between the two countries."

"Training police forces and providing security in the region were among the main issues of the talks," Mohammad-Najjar said, adding that various other issues such as the Caspian Sea, fighting organized crimes as well as human and drug trafficking were also discussed in the meeting.

TEHRAN, Jan. 24 (MNA) - Iranian Defense Minister will soon unveil the third generation of Iranian fighter jets, defense ministry official said.

Reports quoted Ahmad Vahidi as saying; “a new fighter jet to be unveiled soon, is designed as a bomber and performs both air-to-air and air-to-ground missions. It is fully engineered by Islamic Republic of Iran’s scientists and is considered a very important achievement for Iran.”

This will be the third generation of Iranian fighter jets unveiled by Iranian defense ministry since the Islamic Revolution in 1979. Previously, Iran Defense industry had revealed “Azarakhsh” and “Saeqeh” for first and second generation of fighter jets respectively.

Le missile Ya Zahra est un développement iranien du Crotale français (photos ci-dessus) et l'Iran a
aussi le Mersad (photo ci-dessous) qui est la modernisation du HAWK américain.

Iranian warships thwarted an attempted pirate attack on an Iranian oil tanker in international waters on Sunday.

The Iranian Navy stated that the ship was attacked by two pirate boats just 20 miles off Masirah Island off the coast of Oman. Once alerted, the fleet of warships hurried to the scene and forced the pirates to flee by performing successful defensive operations and using heavy firepower, reported Fars News Agency.

The Iranian Navy has been conducting anti-piracy patrols in the Gulf of Aden since November 2008, when Somali hijackers raided the Iranian-chartered cargo ship, MV Delight, off the coast of Yemen.

Different countries are permitted to send their warships to the Gulf of Aden and coastal waters off Somalia to defend merchant vessels against pirates. The Gulf of Aden - which links the Indian Ocean with the Suez Canal and the Mediterranean Sea - is an important energy passageway, particularly because Persian Gulf oil is shipped to the West through the Suez Canal.

Quand meme , quoi que l on en dise , ce que font les Iraniens dans le domaine militaire force le respect . Personnelement j'aurait jamais cru que un jour , un pays musulman develloperait un avion de chasse qui "vole" pour de vrai, j'arrive meme pas a y croire pour tout vous dire , un avion de chasse develloper par des musulmans , c est une fierte . Quand on le voit dans le ciel , a premiere vu , il n'a rien a envier aux autres avions de chasses develloper par des pays occidentaux . Bravo aux Iraniens , et on devrait en prendre exemple , nous les pays musulmans sunnites .

tant que je le vois pas decoller et atterir,j´y croirai pas..le passage vite fait me fait rappeler le vol des maquettes medium/grandes
pourquoi couvrir les entrées d´air et tuyere a l´interieur?
la verriere est tout sauf aerodynamique
le siege est la facon de piloter aussi me parraissent anti-ergonomique,le siege plus petit que le pilote,donc ce dernier doit casser la verriere de sa tete por s´ejecter il s´assied comme sur une chaise d´enfant
pas de manette a gaz,la radio collée en haut avec le 2 fils c´est comment dire..

les supposés entrée d´air me parraissent trop petite pour generer le flux adequat pour pousser un tel avion a la vitesse montrée..en plus d´avoir une ouverture laterale douteuse
