Le ministre azerbaïdjanais de la Défense Zakir Hassanov s'est rendu lundi en France pour une visite officielle de deux jours, rapporte le site de son ministère.

"Lors de sa visite, le général Hassanov rencontrera son homologue français Jean-Yves le Drian et le chef d'état-major des armées (CEMA), l'amiral Edouard Guillaud, ainsi que les PDG de certaines sociétés françaises fabriquant des armements. Ses négociations en France porteront sur les perspectives de la coopération bilatérale et les problèmes de la sécurité régionale et internationale", lit-on dans le communiqué.

A l'issue de la visite, un Mémorandum sur la compréhension mutuelle devrait être signé entre les ministères de la Défense d'Azerbaïdjan et de France.

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov - APA. Azerbaijan is purchasing UMTAS and OMTAS anti-tank missile complexes from Turkey.

APA reports quoting military sources that these missiles are currently tested by Azerbaijani servicemen.


Representatives of ROKETSAN Company said that Azerbaijani servicemen highly estimated both missiles. These missiles can be used both on different vehicles and above ground.


Company officials said that one of Azerbaijani military institutions is interested in “Cirit” anti-tank missiles produced by ROKETSAN Company.


OMTAS medium-range anti-tank missile have a range of 4,000 m and UMTAS long-range anti-tank missile 8,000 m. UMTAS can also be installed on vehicles, drones, helicopters and small attack aircrafts.

Le T129 effectuera des tests dans la République autonome de Nakhchivan (enclave Azeri). Il fera également des tests de tir.

Les autorités Azeris assisteront aux tests, même prévu que les pilotes prennent place aux tests.

L'objectif est d'évaluer sa performance et son adaptabilité à la géographie de la région.

The last of 24 new Mil Mi-35M 'Hind' assault helicopters for Azerbaijan has been delivered to Baku, national media reported on 21 January 2014.
These latest-variant 'Hind' helicopters were ordered in September 2010 to augment the 20 Mi-24 helicopters that Azerbaijan has operated since the break-up of the Soviet Union in 1991. An unspecified number of these earlier Mi-24s have been made NATO-compatible and upgraded to Mi-24G Super 'Hind' standard (the G denotes the Azeri word for night - 'Gecæ') by South African company Advanced Technologies and Engineering (ATE) and Ukrainian company Aviakon at the latter's aircraft repair plant in Konotop.
The Azerbaijani Air Force and Air Defence Force currently operate Mi-24s out of Baku Kala base. While there has been confusion as to the operating agency for the Mi-35s, the Azeri-Press Agency (APA) that reported the completion of deliveries said they are to be fielded by the State Border Service.
Purchased at a price of USD360 million, the helicopters are equipped with night vision goggles, a turret-mounted IRTV-445MGH infrared TV thermal imaging system and new countermeasures equipment. The weapons package is understood to comprise 9K114 Shturm-V (AT-6 'Spiral') anti-tank missiles, 80 mm S-8 and 240 mm S-24 unguided rockets, as well as either a single 12.7 mm 9-A-629 machine gun or two 7.62 mm 9-A-622 machine guns/one 30 mm 9-A-800 grenade launcher. In addition, they can operate with 50 kg (110 lb) to 500 kg (1,100 lb) bombs.
In addition to the 'Hind'-variant helicopters, the Azerbaijani Air Force and Air Defence Force also operates 40 Mi-8 'Hip' transport helicopters, which double as light attack and assault platforms. Other rotary-winged assets in service with the air force comprise the Mi-2 'Hoplite' utility helicopter, and the Kamov Ka-32A utility and Ka-32PS search-and-rescue helicopters.

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov – APA. Azerbaijan and Turkey can set up integrated Identification Friend or Foe system (IFF) in aviation and air defense spheres, military sources told APA.

This system will allow air defense systems of both countries to automatically determine aircrafts and drones belonging to other countries.
At present, the relevant discussions are underway.
During his visit to Turkey in December last year, Azerbaijani Defense Minister, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov focused on this issue.
After the agreements, Azerbaijan and Turkey will install the Identification Friend or Foe system designed by ASELSAN company in all aircrafts.

The onshore SBS-800-2 system will comprise an upmast X-Band SharpEye™ radar transceiver with a low profile antenna – the adoption of an upmast solution highlighting the high reliability and maintenance-free characteristics of SharpEye™.

Full installation of the radars, following a planned programme of testing, is scheduled for August 2014.

Azerbaijan to modernize MiG-25 foxbats included in Air Forces’s inventory


Baku. Rashad Suleymanov – APA. Azerbaijan will modernize Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-25 (NATO codename Foxbat) military aircrafts included in the inventory of the Air Forces.


APA reports quoting military forces that the modernization program of disused military aircrafts will be implemented at the Aircraft Repair Plant of Azerbaijan.

Internal and external construction of MiG-25 gives opportunities for any modernization works.

Aircraft Repair Plant of Azerbaijan has implemented several modernization projects of MiG-25 foxbats so far. The Plant’s last project was related with the modernization of MiG-25 foxbats of Algeria Air Forces.

According to the information of international centers, Azerbaijani Air Forces’s inventory includes 10 modified items of MiG-25 foxbats, 6 of MiG-25PD and 4 of MiG-25RB.

According to the UN reports, Azerbaijan purchased 8 items of MiG-25 foxbats from Kazakhstan in 1993.

non avenu pas nul mais il est vrai que cette éffort de modernisation c'est ce qu'on apelle "pissé dans du sable" car les russes ne laisseront pas faire de plus tout n'est pas noir dedans ils commencent a comprendre vu que des spyder arrive?
