If it’s an RPG 30 , a single charge missile that uses a decoy , the Trophy can absolutely intercept it , it was designed to deal with it , and many tests were done in this matter , so it is not a threat.
But it has another serious threat :
Its a dual missile launcher , using the Iranian version of Kornet , it launches the second missile after 0.4 seconds from the first one , the Trophy has 1.5s reload time , so technically the second missile can definitely hit the tank, but …
It has also a lot of cons : first is the weight , it’s heavy and a Kornet launcher isn’t any fast or easy to set , so that affect mobility and safety of the crew. And it will be far worse in city combat , we have seen in Gaza for example , despite that Qassam are known to have many ATGMs like Kornet and Konkurs , they prefer not to use them for matter of convenience. Same thing with Azov soldiers in Mariupol , they took only NLAW with them and dropped the Stugnas and even top-attack Javelin.
Second , it’s Laser guided , and all Merkavas from 3D to 4 and 4M are fitted with LWS (Laser Warning System ) , it can alarm the tank when it’s being targeted by a laser-guided missile and can launch many countermeasures to deal with that situation, like using smoke , and the receivers can also calculate the exact location of the incoming laser beam, and strike at it .
The Trophy isn’t supposed to be the ultimate protector of a tank , it’s just another layer of defense for the tank, but in the end of the day , a simple anti-tank mine can destroy a Merkava and there is nothing that the Trophy or any APS can do about it . But it is better to have it since it add more calculations. It’s a never ending chase between the cat and the mouse.
One more info i would like to add since not many know it : the Trophy when it detect and incoming ATGM, it can also locate the launcher , and not only that but it allows the tank to share the location and angle with other nearby tanks , who can themselves deal with the source of the threat , it is a truly a fascinating system and it went through countless tests before being picked up by the US Army and preferred over other locally-made systems.

Maintenant les Houtis sont devenus des terroristes. Quand ils ont attaqué les sites d'Aramco en KSA . Les USA ont regardé de l'autre côté. Maintenant la marine américaine intercepte leur drones et missiles avant d'atteindre Israël. Quand tout le monde vote pour une résolution au CS et seulement les USA avec leur veto torpillent cette résolution qui paraît juste et morale vu le nombre de pays qui ont voté pour. Il est raisonnable de dire qu'on vit dans un monde où il y a juste la force qui dit sans dernier mot. Il n'y ni justice ni droit. Donc tout le monde peut faire ce qui est bon pour lui. Y inclus les Houtis.
