Un avion de chasse Mirage 2000-5 de la base aérienne BA 116 de Luxeuil (Haute-Saône) s'est écrasé mercredi matin sur le territoire de la commune voisine de Froideconche, a indiqué le service de communication de l'armée de l'air.

Selon le maire de Froideconche, "le pilote est décédé" et l'avion est tombé en forêt à environ 500 mètres des habitations, à une dizaine de kilomètres de la base aérienne.

At least two people have been killed and another 11 injured after a plane was forced to make an emergency landing in Burma, officials say.

The Air Bagan plane was carrying more than 60 passengers. Two Britons are believed to be among those hurt.

It was on its way from the city of Rangoon to Heho airport in Shan state when it crash-landed about 3km (two miles) from the runway.

Reports say a fire in one of the engines may have caused the accident.

Burmese government officials have confirmed a passenger was found dead inside the plane.

A motorcyclist near Heho airport was also killed when the Fokker jet made its emergency landing in thick fog in a rice field.

The UK Foreign Office said it was working with Burmese authorities to establish whether two of the foreigners wounded in the crash were British.


"Our acting consul is en route to Heho Airport and the charge d'affaires has been deployed to Rangoon airport as we understand that some passengers involved in the incident are being flown there," a UK Foreign Office spokesman said.

Two pilots were also among the injured, who are reported to have been taken to Sao San Tun Hospital in Shan's capital, Taunggyi.

"The cause of the accident is not clear yet. Only the pilots will know the cause, but we can't contact them yet as they have been sent to hospital," Air Bagan spokesman Ye Min Oo said in a statement.

Sources told AFP news agency a fire had started in one of the engines. The plane broke in half when it crashed, eyewitnesses said.

Heho is the gateway to the popular tourist destination of Inle Lake in Shan state.

Air Bagan is one of handful of privately owned carriers flying domestic routes in Burma. The airline operated two Fokker-100 jets, which are no longer being manufactured.

Diplomats have routinely expressed concern about the safety of Burma's domestic airlines, which have been unable to modernise their fleets because of sanctions, and whose safety checks are not published, the BBC's south-east Asia correspondent Jonathan Head reports.

The rapidly increasing number of foreigners visiting Burma is putting a strain on those airlines, which offer the only way of getting around such a large country with very poor roads and railways, he says.

A military plane said to be carrying senior Kazakh security officials has crashed in the south of the country, killing all on board, reports say.

Twenty-seven people were on the flight, which went down near the city of Shymkent, officials said.

A regional emergencies head told Ria news agency the plane had been completely destroyed.

The Antonov An-72 plane was carrying border service officers, including acting head Turganbek Stambekov.

KTK TV said the plane had disappeared from radar shortly before 19:00 Kazakhstan time (13:00 GMT) as it was making its descent near Shymkent, which is the main Kazakh city in the south, some 75 miles (120km) north of the Uzbek capital, Tashkent.

Eyewitnesses told KTK that the plane fell from a height of 800m (2,600ft), causing a loud explosion.

A resident identified as Baurzhan Dosov described a big fire, adding that military hats were strewn around the crash site.

The plane went down 12 miles (20km) from Shymkent aiport in what correspondents told KTK was very bad weather.

"There was no need for rescuers' help. Only fragments remain," the head of Kazakhstan's regional emergencies department, Valikhan Derezhepov, told Ria news agency.

Seven crew and 20 military personnel were on board the military transport plane, Kazakhstan's Committee for National Security said in a statement.

Interfax-Kazakhstan said that one of Col Stambekov's deputies and several regional border service commanders were also on the flight, from the Kazakh capital, Astana, to Shymkent.

Col Stambekov was made acting head of the service in June, weeks after 14 border troops were found dead at a burnt-out border post near Kazakhstan's southern frontier with China. The incident prompted his predecessor to resign.

Another border guard was jailed for life for his alleged role in the incident at the Arkankergen post near Almaty, after he had reportedly confessed to the authorities.

He later said he had been forced into making the confession.

After what local media described as a hard landing, the pilots subsequently lost control and ran beyond the end of runway 20. The Tu-204 struck ILS antennas and finally the elevated highway M4 where its fuselage broke into three major parts. The foreward section of the aircraft including the cockpit came to rest on the multilane highway M4 next to the approach lights of runway 02. Five of the eight crewmembers on board died. A stewardess died the following day bringing the death toll up to five. The surviving crewmembers received serious injuries. At the time the aircraft was operating on a repositioning flight without passengers. Local weather consisted of overcast skies, gusty westerly wings and temperatures 2 degrees below freezing level. According to unconfirmed sources, the flight was on its second landing attempt at Vnukovo. There is speculation that the wheel braking system may have failed after a late touchdown on runway 20.

Russian Helicopter Crashes in Congo

MOSCOW, March 10 (RIA Novosti) – A Russian Mil Mi-8 helicopter crashed in the Democratic Republic of Congo and the fate of the crew is unknown, a source in Russia’s law-enforcement agencies said on Sunday.

The helicopter, which belonged to Russian airline UTair, worked in the central African country under a UN contract.

“According to preliminary information, a Russian Mi-8 helicopter crashed in the mountainous terrain at an altitude of 2,700 meters, some 20 km [12 miles] south-west of the town of Bukavu,” the source said.

There were four crew members, all of them Russian nationals, aboard the helicopter.

UTair has earlier reported a Mi-8AMT helicopter was performing a Shabunda-Bukavu flight on Saturday in complex weather conditions. Communication with the helicopter interrupted some 10 miles from the Bukavu airport.

The helicopter was detected in hard-to-access terrain on Sunday at an altitude of 2,700 meters.

"L'avion a fait demi-tour après un problème de dysfonctionnement de l'un des moteurs. Le moteur a été mis au ralenti pour un problème de pompage", a expliqué un porte-parole d'Air France, précisant qu'il s'agissait d'un incident "pas excessivement rare".

Les passagers de ce vol AF 217 ont été pris en charge et hébergés dans un hôtel de la ville en attendant d'être réacheminés vers Paris, a-t-il ajouté.

je crois qu'en phase de déco , un 747 a besoin des 4 moteurs à la fois . Alors j'imagine q'un seul qui lache et c'est la cata ! en croisière oui il reste maniable, mais là ... !

An American military refueling plane took off and crashed in Kyrgyzstan on Friday, Kyrgyz and U.S. officials said.

Three people were on board, said Bolot Sharshenaliev of the Kyrgyz Emergencies Ministry. A ministry spokeswoman had previously said there were five. The U.S. military didn't give the number of those on the plane and said "the status of the crew is unknown."

The plane was a U.S. Air Force KC-135 tanker aircraft, according to the U.S. 376th Air Expeditionary Wing Public Affairs Transit Center at Manas, near Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. The crew and aircraft are assigned to the transit center.

what i think about this 747 crash it might be the sudden change of the Center of gravity or a stall by the crew because they have to do an unrespected climb to avoid missiles on the area. the crew seems to be trying to recover the plane but they didnt have much altitude. RIP

tu est decu tout simplement parceque tu n'as pas compris.
pour les aeroport comme cela dans des regions hostiles toutes les avions doivent monter avec un maximum rate of climb to avoid being attacked. and climbing at the maximum continuous thrust and very close to the stall speed can be dangerous.

il faut pendre de l'élan et être hyper léger !

léger ou pas documente toi a propos du weight and thrust ratio.
