The Su-30МКМ was developed by the Sukhoi Design Bureau on basis of the super maneuverable fighter the Su-30MKI. The aircraft has the same aerodynamically perfect airframe, state-of-the-art engine with the Thrust Vector Control (TVC) and the most advanced digital fly-by-wire system. The MKM version differs from the MKI by virtue of the composition of the onboard avionics. The French company ТHALES supplies the Head-up display (HUD), navigational forward-looking IR system NAVFLIR and Laser Designation pod (LDP Damocles). Aircraft carries missile approach warning sensor (MAWS) and laser warning sensor (LWS) manufactured by the AVITRONICS company (South Africa).
The electronic warfare (EW) system, up-to-date radar (with a phased antenna array capable of simultaneously tracking 15 and attacking 4 targets), optic-location system with the laser rangefinder are all produced by leading Russian manufacturers.

According to Defense Studies, Malaysian and Turkish officials from both the government and private sectors on July 5 signed seven Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) in various fields in the presence of the two countries’ leaders. Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob and his host President Recep Tayyip Erdogan witnessed the signing at the Presidential Palace here, paving the way for further cooperation and sharing of knowledge in the fields of science, defence, technology and academy.

MIGHT signed an MoU with the Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI), followed by SilTerra Malaysia Sdn Bhd with TÜYAR Mikroelektronik A.Ş; MA Analytics Sdn Bhd with Makina Kimya Endustrisi Kurumu (MKE) and NS Corporation with TAI. TAI and MIGHT are in collaboration to facilitate the transfer of relevant aerospace technology, knowledge and know-how to Malaysia, capitalizing on Turkiye and TAI’s 50 years of experience in the aerospace industry. The technology transfer will assist Malaysia to migrate from Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul activity into a full production capacity with the aim of making Malaysia an OEM country emulating the technology evolution process that Turkey has successfully gone through.
In a similar field, TAI and NS Corporation will collaborate on the development of NS Aerospace Valley (NSAV) and Unmanned Vehicle Valley (UVV) in Negeri Sembilan. The UVV will house the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV), Unmanned Underwater Vehicle (UUV) and Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) manufacturing plant. (Bernama)
Defense Studies reports that Malaysian Prime Minister İsmail Sabri Yakub and his delegation made a series of visits to Turkey as part of the official visit. Within the framework of the visits, Malaysian Prime Minister Yakub, who visited MKE's Gazi Fişek Factory, received information about various products produced by the company, especially the 155mm Yavuz and 105mm Boran howitzers. La Royal Malaysian Air Force a réceptionné son premier CN-235 MSA !
Ce premier CN-235 MSA (numéro M44-05), produit à l'origine par Indonesian Aerospace (initialement connu sous le nom de PTDI), a été configuré pour fonctionner dans le rôle de surveillance maritime. C’est le Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) en collaboration avecIntegrated Surveillance and Defense Inc. qui a installé les systèmes de combat tandis qu’Indonesian Aerospace a mené les travaux de modification de la cellule à Bandung.
Au total la Malaisie disposera de trois exemplaire de l’avion. Les deux CN-235 modifiés suivants devant être livrés plus tard cette année. La livraison intervient trois ans et demi après la signature par les États-Unis d'une lettre d'offre et d'acceptation relative aux travaux, qui vise à accroître la capacité des forces malaisiennes ainsi que leur interopérabilité avec les forces américaines.
L'avion a été équipé d'une suite de renseignement, de surveillance et de reconnaissance (ISR) qui comprend un radar de surveillance maritime capable de détecter de petites balises jusqu'à 200 milles marins. Une tourelle infrarouge électro-optique, une liaison de données en visibilité directe un nouveau système d'identification automatique (AIS). Une suite de missions de surveillance maritime Merlin développée par la société américaine Integrated Surveillance and Defense, basée dans l'Oregon et une station d'opérateur de système de mission roll-on / roll-off. Le programme comprend également des stations terrestres mobiles et fixes.
Le programme de conversion de l'avion de transport CN-235 en variantes MSA a été financé par le gouvernement américain dans le cadre de son programme Indo-Pacific Maritime Security Initiative (MSI), qui vise à améliorer les capacités de surveillance maritime des pays partenaires.

Sig MPX pour les forces spéciales de l’armée malaisienne GGK

Le 11e régiment de service spécial de l’armée malaisienne relevant du 21e groupe de services spéciaux / 21e Gerup Gerak Khas (GGK), qui est chargé des opérations antiterroristes dans le pays et à l’étranger, a reçu des cargaisons de mitraillettes Sig Sauer 9 mm MPX-K.
En tant que tels, ils ont été les premiers utilisateurs de nouvelles armes à feu en Malaisie. La mitraillette a été choisie pour compléter les escadrons des équipes de sauvetage au combat (CRT) spécialisés dans le combat rapproché (CQB).
Le CRT a été armé de MP5 Heckler & Koch éprouvés de diverses variantes depuis les années 1980, notamment le MP5-K compact et le MP5-SD pressé. SSG a demandé à l’armée d’acquérir un nouveau SMG avec un financement pour l’acquisition par le biais d’un appel d’offres ouvert approuvé en 2020.
Le MPX-K très compact avec un canon de 4,5 » est parfait pour les situations CQB où les canons à canon court sont essentiels en raison de l’espace limité dans les structures, les avions et les navires. En outre, un calibre 9 mm est préféré à un canon de 5,56 mm dans de telles circonstances, car il peut réduire les dommages supplémentaires sous la forme de blessures possibles aux otages ou aux troupes amies dues aux reflets.
L’efficacité de ce premier lot de GMS aura une incidence sur la possibilité d’achats ultérieurs d’armes à feu par l’armée.

KAI Exports 18 FA-50s to Malaysia, The Largest Export Ever in the Southeast Asian Market

Korea Aerospace Industries ( KAI) succeeded in winning a large-scale export contract for the light fighter FA-50. It has been five months since exporting to Poland last year.
KAI announced on the 24th that it had signed a contract with the Ministry of Defense of Malaysia to export 18 FA-50s. It is worth 920 million dollars (approximately 1.2 trillion won), the largest single contract for export to the Southeast Asian market. The FA-50, to be introduced by Malaysia, will be delivered in 2026 with improved performance such as aerial refueling and armament expansion. In particular, Malaysia is planning to introduce 18 additional aircraft of the same type as the FA-50, so KAI is also expecting additional orders.

A total of six aircraft participated in the bidding, including the FA-50, the Tejas of India, the JF-17 of Pakistan, the MIG-35 of Russia, and the Hurizet of Turkey. The FA-50 succeeded in winning the order after a last-minute competition with Tejas. The previous export record was the driving force. This is KAI's fourth export of domestic aircraft to the Southeast Asian market, following Indonesia, the Philippines, and Thailand, as it has been highly evaluated in terms of performance and efficiency as well as follow-up support capabilities.
KAI explained that the government's formation of a private-government-military One Team to foster the defense industry as a national strategic industry also contributed to exports. In November of last year, President Yoon Seok-yeol met with ASEAN leaders at the Korea-ASEAN summit to discuss cooperation in the defense industry and requested interest and support from the Malaysian government. When the Malaysian inspection team visited Korea in October of last year, the Korean Air Force also shared operational status such as flight training and maintenance systems, supported evaluation flights, and increased reliability in the performance of domestic aircraft.

KAI exported a total of 222 domestic aircraft, including the first project in Malaysia. KAI plans to challenge exports of the KF-21 Boramae fighter jet and Surion mobile helicopter, which are currently being developed smoothly after successfully flying at supersonic speed. In particular, the goal is to expand the market not only to the Middle East and Africa, but also to Australia and the United States.
“This export is the result of strengthening cooperation between the governments of the two countries,” said KAI President Koo-Young Kang.

The Launch Export Customer for the KARAOK Missile is Malaysia

The first export customer of the KARAOK Anti-Tank Missile was Malaysia. Malaysia will be supplied with more than 100 KARAOK Missiles along with 18 systems.
According to the news of Malaysian Defense; In early June, the Malaysian Ministry of Defense reported that five bidders were shortlisted for the tender for 18 Medium-Range Anti-Tank Guided Weapons (ATGW-MR), published on April 18. The tender was supposed to close on May 18, but the deadline for bidding was extended until June 1.
The Malaysian Ministry of Defense announced today that the company that won the tender is Roketsan KARAOK.
The 18 Roketsan KARAOK ATGW-MR systems to be purchased, it will come with six for each launcher, for a total of 108 missiles. The package will also include an indoor simulator, three outdoor simulators, their components, and three transparent missiles for test equipment.
When KARAOK enters service with the Malaysian Army, it will replace the Metis-M ATGW-MR missile installed on G-Wagen 4X4 vehicles. The new ATGW-MR will be integrated into Cendana vehicles.
KUALA ROMPIN – L’exercice Malfrench Daggert 2023 (Eks MD23) de 7 jours qui a duré 7 jours du 10 au 17 octobre 2023 touche maintenant à sa fin. La cérémonie de clôture du MD23 Exx a été présidée par le colonel Muhammad Mustafa bin Omar RMAF, commandant par intérim du régiment de la RMAF et également en tant que co-directeur de l’exercice (CO-EXDIR) de la RMAF, qui s’est tenue au camp de Bestari, Kuala Rompin, Pahang. Étaient également présents à la cérémonie de clôture le lieutenant-colonel Hasfa Nyzam bin Abdul Hamid RMAF, le chef d’état-major adjoint MPOU-A7 et les participants à l’exercice.
Au cours de la cérémonie de clôture, le colonel Muhammad Mustafa bin Omar du CGRR a souligné qu’il était important que les pays travaillent ensemble pour surmonter les défis communs face à l’évolution constante du paysage de la sécurité mondiale. Les ex MD23 symbolisent également l’engagement de la Malaisie et de la France en faveur de la paix dans le monde et témoignent du fait que lorsque chacun d’eux est uni et intégré, tous les obstacles peuvent être surmontés et devenir plus forts lorsqu’ils fusionnent.
L’exs MD23 implique une combinaison de forces d’élite de deux forces aériennes, à savoir les Forces Spéciales de la RMAF (PASKAU) et le Commando Parachutiste de l’Air n° 30 (CPA 30) de l’Armée de l’Air et de l’Espace (AAE) qui suivent un entraînement en deux (2) phases, à commencer par la phase d’entraînement à l’intégration des forces (FIT) à la base aérienne de Jugra et la phase d’exercice d’entraînement sur le terrain (FTX) autour de Kuala Rompin, Pahang.
Cet ex MD 23 a atteint les objectifs grâce à l’engagement et au dévouement dont ont fait preuve les participants et l’équipe de soutien. L’exercice a également fait appel à la coopération et à l’assistance de diverses parties, en particulier d’unités sous les auspices du quartier général du régiment de la CGRR, telles que la base aérienne de Jugra (PU Jugra), le PASKAU et l’École d’instruction au combat de la CGRR (ELTT), ainsi que EC725AP unités de vol d’hélicoptères du 10e Escadron de la Marine.
