Citation :
The strengths of the Turkish defence industry have been a high-level of cost effectivity, high quality, on time delivery and a very effective after-sales support in all of those regions. We are also working on a new export credit mechanism for Government to Government (G2G) sales of defence products. We believe that Turkish defence products will be also advantageous in terms of finance after establishing this credit mechanism.

Meteor ? Peux-tu me donner ta source ?

HAVELSAN to sell DOOB information system to world
HAVELSAN Director General Sadik Yamac said the information system of command and control (DOOB) would have a good place in the world. Stating it has attracted attention already, Yamac said, "We believe DOBB will have a good place in the world. We tried it at NATO, and it was really adored." Turkey has been trying to close the gap in technology, said Yamac, adding HAVELSAN has also developed continuously since it was established. Yamac said DOOB is a highly integrated system, explaining "It is a system which offers mutual mobility, brings various parts of armed forces and directs their mobility." HAVELSAN Director of Marketing and Business Development Alparslan Kuloglu said DOOB was a system operating to make land, air and naval forces fight together. The most important feature of the system is flexibility, said Kuloglu, explaining "Every country has its own system of command and control. DOOB, with its 31 different software protocol, can be integrated to the existing command and control system in any country. The system is also compatible with IPhone and IPad." Kuloglu stated it was easier, with the help of DOOB, to control people in the field during a war or an attack. Negotiations with the Turkish General Staff, Pakistan, and some NATO member countries on the sale of DOOB has been proceeding.

HAVELSAN and Lockheed Martin Demonstrate Feasibility of Turkish - Aegis Combat System
ISTANBUL, TURKEY, May 9, 2013 –Lockheed Martin successfully united the capabilities of its Aegis Weapon System with the naval combat management capabilities of leading Turkish defense company HAVELSAN. The results of this effort were demonstrated during a naval combat system mockup at the International Defense Industry Fair (IDEF) 2013. Lockheed Martin and HAVELSAN HAVA ELEKTRONİK SANAYİ VE TİCARET A.S. signed a memorandum of agreement to collaborate on naval combat systems in 2011. Since that time, the companies have worked together to develop interfaces between their respective system components and have combined their technologies in a laboratory environment, which HAVELSAN demonstrated publicly for the first time during IDEF 2013. “Lockheed Martin delivered realistic simulations of our Aegis Weapon System components to HAVELSAN who has demonstrated through today’s scenarios how they would deliver a total combat system solution for navies of the world,” said Carl Bannar, vice president of Integrated Warfare Systems and Sensors for Lockheed Martin’s Mission Systems and Training business. “We’ve now witnessed in real time how well our systems work together, which also speaks to the strong and significant partnership of our two companies within the industry.” Combining long-range radar detection and control of the full inventory of Standard Missiles, Aegis protects the fleet against aircraft and enemy missiles. Aegis is the world's premier naval combat system and is the foundation for the Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense capability. “We have demonstrated that we can enhance our existing naval combat management system capabilities by using data from the naval radar, SPY-1,” said Sadik YAMAÇ, General Manager and CEO for HAVELSAN.“We’ve leveraged the strength of Aegis and its anti-air warfare capabilities to package a total naval combat system for the most stressing operational requirements of many countries.” Today there are more than 100 ships equipped with the Aegis system deployed around the world. In addition to the United States, Aegis is the system of choice of the Australian, Japanese, Norwegian, South Korean, and Spanish navies. The Aegis system is proven through more than 1,200 years of at-sea operational experience including the launch of more than 3,800 missiles in tests and operations. The combined technology of Turkish - Aegis combat system can be a considerable solution for the countries in Middle East Region and some other countries. HAVELSAN is a C4ISR, simulation technologies, and IT company who presents global solutions in defense and IT sectors. HAVELSAN has improved expertise in the fields of C4ISR, Naval Combat, Air Defense, Information Management, Simulation and Training, Homeland Security and Energy Management Systems. Cost effective integrated systems are designed and developed to turn data into information, and information into powerful tools for users and decision-makers through implementing capabilities in system integration. HAVELSAN has a proven naval combat management system and capabilities, which have been in use by the Turkish Navy on various naval platforms. Headquartered in Bethesda, Md., Lockheed Martin is a global security and aerospace company that employs about 118,000 people worldwide and is principally engaged in the research, design, development, manufacture, integration, and sustainment of advanced technology systems, products, and services. The Corporation’s net sales for 2012 were $47.2 billion.

(*) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SYHK

Turkish company Roketsan joins IDAS common submarine missile project
The Turkish company Roketsan and the German IDAS Consortium formed by ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems and Diehl BGT Defence signed a cooperation agreement to develop and supply the submarine-launched IDAS (= Interactive Defence and Attack System for Submarines) missile. The accord was inked at the IDEF Trade Show in Istanbul on May 9, 2013. The signature ceremony took place in the presence of Thomas Kossendey, member of the German Parliament and parliamentarian secretary to the federal minister of defence and the German Armament Director Detlef Selhausen. IDAS provides new self-defence and asymmetric warfare capabilities for submerged submarines to engage threats from the air, naval vessels as well as coastal targets. The submarine can launch the multi-role missile from a torpedo tube under water by means of a launching container. Aided by an innovative fibre-optic data link, the operator in the submarine is capable of controlling the missile during the entire flight offering the opportunity of target change, correction of the target impact point or mission abort. The system can be refitted also into existing submarines with minor effort. Currently the IDAS Consortium is conducting an Initial Development Program (IDP) with the objective of developing a verified product. Verification will be proven with successful firings from a submerged submarine scheduled end of 2014. According to the cooperation agreement, Roketsan will be responsible for development, qualification and series production of the IDAS warhead, support testing of CAS (Control Actuation System), participate in system level design activities and perform a work share in the series production of the CAS. A further partner is the Norwegian company Nammo, who is developing and producing the rocket motor.
The principle of IDAS was proven by successful controlled test firings from an underwater test facility in Northern Germany as well as from a HDW Class 212A submarine of the German Navy in the Baltic Sea. The project was awarded the Technology Prize of the German defence industry.

Dearsan steams ahead with Turkish patrol boat deliveries
Turkey's Dearsan Shipyard delivered the ninth of 16 New Type Patrol Boats (NTPB) for the Turkish Naval Forces Command on 3 May.
The 10th unit also remains on track for handover in July following the completion of sea trials, as the Tuzla-based shipbuilder continues to deliver its first naval shipbuilding programme well ahead of schedule.
Designed and built by Dearsan under a EUR402 million (USD521.5 million) fixed-price contract signed in August 2007, the NTPB programme is one of three pioneering private-sector naval construction projects initiated under the Turkish Undersecretariat for Defence Industries' naval shipbuilding strategy intended to grow the country's sovereign capability to design and build naval vessels.
First-of-class P 1200 was laid down in May 2008 and handed over to the navy in January 2011, and since then the shipbuilder has continued to deliver vessels at approximately three-month intervals.
Speaking to IHS Jane's at IDEF 2013 in Istanbul on 8 May, Dearsan's naval projects co-ordinator Taner Akkaya said the shipyard expects to deliver its 16th and final unit to the Turkish Naval Forces Command within the first quarter of 2015, "at least three months ahead of the committed date".
